GMCC Rotary Compressors

Rotary compressors are a subset of positive displacement machines. Rotary compressors do not use valves to move the gas through the machine. When compared to a reciprocating compressors rotary compressors:

• Are lighter in weight
• Experience less vibration
• Do not require heavy foundations

Most often, rotary compressors are arranged as a single-rotor unit with a driver.
